Siddhu Jonnalagadda, Neha Shetty starrer DJ Tillu, directed by Vimal Krishna, has opened to a terrific response and is running to packed houses across the globe upon its release today i.e. February 12. The film is produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi under Sithara Entertainments, in collaboration with Fortune Four Cinemas. The producer Naga Vamsi, actor Siddhu Jonnalagadda and director Vimal Krishna expressed their happiness on the blockbuster reception for the film.
“I’ve never come across the word blockbuster in my career and I only got to experience that high today. I’m flooded with calls and messages. The crowd responses are way beyond what we expected. S Thaman’s background score played a key role in enhancing the impact of the film. Having grown up in Hyderabad, the body language, dialogue delivery of a character like DJ Tillu came to me quite naturally. The fact that I also wrote the dialogues made the job easier for me,” actor Siddhu Jonnalagadda said.
“We had just met Trivikram garu and the box office response is exactly like what he had predicted. It truly shows us the trust he had in the film and a team like ours. It was a privilege to associate with him and I’m thankful to audiences for making DJ Tillu a huge success,” he further added.
“I foresaw the reception for DJ Tillu right when I heard the story. Our prediction has come true. We’ve always been confident of its success but this unanimous response has left us overjoyed. This has motivated us to take up many more challenging scripts, encourage new talents to the industry. It’s extremely satisfying to see a film made on a small scale achieving such a monumental success. Regardless of the budget, our only aim was to make a good film, live up to the reputation of our banner and we never compromised on the quality of DJ Tillu. We’ll once again be collaborating with Siddhu for the sequel to DJ Tillu,” producer S Naga Vamsi shared.
“I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw crowds roaring in laughter at the theatres. As a team, we’ve managed to do the impossible with DJ Tillu. Siddhu deserves a major share of the credit for the film’s dialogues. It’s our team effort and the trust of S Naga Vamsi (garu) that we managed to create such an impact among audiences,” director Vimal Krishna stated.
