Sir celebrated success in a gala meet attended by R Narayana Murthy, Samyuktha, Samuthirakani, Sai Kumar, Hyper Aadi, and others
Sir released on Feb 17, 2023, emerged as a blockbuster. The film is produced by Naga Vamsi S. and Sai Soujanya under Sithara Entertainment in association with Fortune Four Cinemas. Srikara Studios presented the movie. Sir is running successfully in Telugu states and got a unanimous positive talk from audience. The cast and crew of Sir attended a grand success meet in Hyderabad. R Narayana Murthy graced the event as the chief guest. The event started with the actors who portrayed the student characters in Sir.
Venky Atluri lauded the efforts of all the people who are behind the scenes of Sir. He showed a wonderful gesture by calling the crew who is present at the success meet on stage. Venky spoke high about Tanikella Bharani and the way he brought positive energy to the sets. He made a special mention about Sumanth and his presence in the film.
R Narayana Murthy applauded the audience for making ‘Sir’ a grand success. He said when a film connects with the hearts of the audience it will be successful. He pulled off a quote of Abdul Kalam and praised Venky Atluri. Narayana Murthy said, “Sir joins the league of great films such as To Sir with Love, Badi Panthulu, and Super 30. The audience emoted with the protagonist and the students and the film moved them. I salute Dhanush for his great performance. He is a pan-India hero”. He praised all the actors’ performance and concluded saying ‘Sir’ is a film for every parent and every student.
DOP Yuvraj said, “Audience received the movie emotionally. Dhanush lived in the character of Balu sir. Our director Venky got a distinction in the exam (the movie). I am happy that I worked with so many talented actors”.
Saikumar opened his speech with Gurubhyo Namahaa and praised the audience for making Sir a grand success. He said, “I got congratulatory messages from people around the world. What surprised me is I got a call from a college in a remote village and they applauded the film. My family members called me and told Sir really echoed with all of us”.
Sumanth thanked Telugu and Tamil audience for making Sir a grand success, and special thanks for Venky Atluri for writing a beautiful character and roping him for it.
Hyper Aadi said, “We are privileged to get blessings from R Narayana Murthy. We got goosebumps and experienced highs and lows while watching Sir. I saw people clapping the theatre. The movie has been a change maker and all the actors got a lot of respect for doing the film. I really anticipate a good change in the educational system”. In his typical style he heaped praised on cast and crew.
Samyuktha said a simple character like Meenakshi getting a great attention is something unexpected. She remarked, “People are calling me madam and the credit to our director Venky Atluri. This is one film and character that’s defining for me. Meenakshi is one among you and thank you for the acceptance”. Samyuktha shared a story when an anchor previously questioned her choice about doing a teacher character in Sir. Now he might be lauding my choice.
Tanikella Bharani said about the changing perception of audience who is lauding the efforts of teachers in movies. He said, “I am really grateful to my teacher who taught me Telugu and that language became my livelihood. Venky poured his heart into the film and now it’s time to enjoy the film. Dhanush added life to Sir and the collective efforts of the entire team made Sir a grand success”. He commented on the status quo where there is a lack of quality teachers and said Sir will be an eye opener.
Samuthirakani said Sir is all about loving the society and doing great things for the ecosystem around us. He said, “The story idea of Sir only comes to people who have love for society. The character I did in Sir is a contrast from what I faced as a child, but Venky ensured I excel at it”. He praised all the actors of Sir for taking up good roles and thanked the crew behind Sir.
The success meet concluded with cake cutting on the stage by the dignitaries present at the event.
