On the occasion of Megastar Chiranjeevi’s birthday on August 22, actor, producer, Member of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council (MLC), and Chairman of the AP GREEN Executive Committee, Konidela Nagendra Babu, marked the celebration with an eco-conscious initiative by planting saplings in an open area at Kokapet, Hyderabad.
Among the plants introduced was a Kadamba Vruksham (Kadambavasini tree), sourced directly from the renowned nurseries of Kadiyam. Highlighting the ecological benefits of the species, Nagababu noted that the 1.5 to 2-year-old sapling features lush green foliage, provides cooling shade capable of reducing ambient heat by 10 to 15 degrees, and bears distinctive spherical blooms.
Sharing his thoughts on celebrating milestones through nature, Nagababu stated: “Planting trees on the occasion of Annayya’s birthday felt truly happy and meaningful. Instead of celebrating with something temporary, planting a tree is a beautiful way to create something that grows, gives life, and benefits everyone for years to come.
I believe everyone should plant a tree on the occasion of their loved ones’ birthdays. It’s a small gesture today that leaves a lasting gift for tomorrow.
Happy Birthday, Annayya! May your legacy continue to grow and inspire, just like these trees.
Nagababu further highlighted that this gesture is part of an ongoing family initiative. He has personally planted over 120 trees dedicated to his family members including Pawan Kalyan, Ram Charan, Varun Tej, Sai Dharam Tej, Vaishnav Tej, and Niharika. Underscoring his commitment to environmental preservation, he urged citizens and fans to adopt the practice of planting a tree on the birthdays of loved ones to create a greener, lasting future.
