Phalana Abbayi Phalana Ammayi, a romance drama starring Naga Shaurya and Malvika Nair, directed by Srinivas Avasarala and produced by People Media Factory in collaboration with Dasari Productions, is hitting screens on March 17. Kalyani Malik is the composer of the film and two songs from his album, the pathos number Kanula Chatu Meghama, the peppy title track opened to good responses from music buffs.

The third single, Neetho Ee Gadichina Kalam, launched on Thursday, is another impressive addition to the terrific album. Kalyani Malik and Geetha Madhuri crooned for the number lyricised by Bhaskarabhatla Ravi Kumar. From the mellowed rendition to the surreal landscapes, the song, filmed on the lead pair Naga Shaurya and Malvika, has the vibe of a gentle breeze on a wintery morning.

In the number, a lovestruck couple is all over the moon, enjoying their togetherness, making memories and living life as if the world isn’t watching them. The lines ‘Neetho ee gadichina kaalam..nadichina dooram..Entho ishtam chevilo cheppe..kaburulu annee..ishtam ishtam ishtam,’ are a poetic expression of their happiness as they celebrate the present and dream of a rosy tomorrow.

Much like the other numbers in the film, there’s something very pleasant and intimate about the song – there’s no rush, the lyrics strike a chord, the music is catchy and hummable. Cinematographer Sunil Kumar Nama comes up with visually pleasing montages, making excellent use of the lead pair’s chemistry, varied backdrops. Besides Kalyani Malik’s brisk, crystal-clear vocals, Geetha Madhuri adapts to the leisured mood of the number with elan.

The film’s teaser, which offered a glimpse of the lead pair’s romantic journey over the years, was a hit with viewers. The romance also stars Srinivas Avasarala, Megha Chowdhury, Ashok Kumar, Abhishek Maharshi, Sri Vidya, Varanasi Soumya Chalamcharla, Harini Rao, Arjun Prasad, and others.
