Phalana Abbayi Phalana Ammayi’s grand pre-release event with Adivi Sesh, Bobby, Kona Venkat, Maruti, and other celebrities as special guests
Phalana Abbayi Phalana Ammayi (PAPA) is a heartwarming romantic drama that explores the ups and downs of relationships in modern world. The film follows the story of Naga Shaurya, a charming and carefree young man, and Malvika Nair, a beautiful and independent woman, as they navigate the complexities of love and life. With its compelling storyline, dynamic performances, and vibrant musical score, PAPA is sure to captivate audiences of all ages. The new trailer showcases different stages of the life of the lead pair and how their love evolves over time. There are quirks, lilting tunes, classical BGM, powerhouse performances in PAPA.
About the pre-release event:
The pre-release event is graced by cast and crew members Naga Shaurya, Malavika Nair, Srinivas Avasarala, Shreyas, Kiran, Ashok Kumar, Kalyani Malik, Sri Vidya, Sowmya, Abhishek, Sunil Kumar, Bhaskarabatla, Lakshmi Bhupal, and others. Kona Venkat, Adivi Sesh, BVS Ravi, Maruti, Nandini Reddy, and Bobby are present as the special guests.
Editor Kiran proudly said he has edited all Avasarala’s films. He redefined the definition of editing by saying it’s not removal but retaining relevant portions. He said, “I am thankful that Srinivas Avasarala gave this opportunity. We have spent a lot of time on this movie and it came out really well. PAPA is carved with perfection. I travelled to London for the shoot and I was in awe with the actors and their producers.”
Actor Ashok Kumar called watching PAPA will be a different experience and working on the sets of a Srinivas Avasarala film is like a breeze. Megha thanked director Srinivas Avasarala for the trusting her for this project. She said, “I loved all the songs in the movie and my personal favourite is Kanula Chaatu.” Arjun was excited when I heard I will share the screen with Nagar Shourya and Malvika Nair. He said, “I also worked as Asst Director in the UK schedule. Thanks to Srinivas Avasarala for everything.”
Harini Rao said, “I am thankful to everyone present here. Working for this film is like being with friends. Even my favourite song is Kanula Chaatu.” She also hummed Oka Laalana.
Lakshmi Bhupal said, “It feels great to have written the song Kanula Chaatu Meghama. Thanks for everyone for trusting me on this melodious song.”
Bhaskarbhatla wrote three songs for the film and said the songs have good literary values and he wished the team to make more movies and taste success.
Abhishek said, “It was a good meaty role for me, and I thank everyone for that” and Sri Vidya added to that saying “This is my first film officially and I am a bit nervous about it. Thanks for selecting me for Keerthi.”
Singer Aabhas Joshi wished a grand success to the film and sang Kanula Chaatu Meghama on stage.
SKN praised the producers for this project and Nisabdham’s director Hemanth called the pre-release function a family event. He said, “I worked with Srinivas Avasarala in Nishabdam and he is a wonderful human being. Naga Shaurya and Malvika Nair look like the boy and girl next door. I wish them a great success.”
BVS Ravi said, “I am confident the PAPA will have all the classical touches of Srinivas Avasarala. Kalyani Malik’s music is soothing. And I am hopeful that People Media will taste a lot of success”.
Kona Venkat said, “Ninnu Kori movie was shot in the house of the producers of PAPA. I am happy that they turned into producers. My association with Srinivas Avasarala started with Chintakayala Ravi. Phalana is a reference used in Telugu and I want PAPA to be a reference for new-age films.”
Kriti of People factory wished the entire team all the best and Prasanna said the movie title has a good Ugadi feel to it.
Maruti heaped praises on Avasarala. He said, “Srinivas Avasarala has a unique writing style, and it came out in all his films. Srinivas and Naga Shaurya combination is very successful. Please watch PAPA on big screen.”
Malvika Nair thanked all media fraternity for showering love. She said, “As actors we go through many phases, and with Naga Shaurya it has been a delight to have a great journey with him. Srinivas Avasarala has immense knowledge in literature. I am grateful that I have so many well-wishers. Sunil Nama gave a lot of space for me to deliver the best.”
Producer Padmaja said, “Thanks to Vivek and Vishwa to join hands with them. And thanks to Adivi Sesh, Kona Venkat, Bobby and others for gracing this occasion. We love all the movies of Srinivas Avasarala and are excited to watch PAPA on big screen.”
Bobby praised Vishwa Prasad for heading with solid films and wished him and his team a grand success. He said, “Naga Shaurya’s family has a lot of dedication for cinema. I love all Avasarala’s films. Kalyani Malik is always special. I wish PAPA all the best.”
Nandini Reddy said, “People Media film is like a family event. I was jealous whenever I saw the footage of PAPA that I couldn’t create such a romance between Naga Shaurya and Malvika. This film is realistic, something special and wish the team a grand success.”

Kalyani Malik said, “What I like about PAPA the most are Naga Shaurya and Malvika Nair. While doing background score, I gave a lot of space to elevate their performances. The lyricists added life to my songs. It’s wonderful to collaborate with Srinivas Avasarala for the third time.”
Srinivas Avasarala said, “I am thankful to everyone who supported me all through the journey, especially Kalyani Malik for the wonderful music for all my films. Bhaskarbhatla and Lakshmi Bhupal for the lyrics. My long-time collaborator editor Kiran Ganti always gave good output. Vivek Kuchibotla’s positive energy is perpetuating everyone. Vishwa Prasad gave immense support. I am happy that Dasari Prasad and Padmaja launched as producers for the film. I am proud to introduce Aabhas Joshi’s voice to Telugu cinema. We also did sync sound for the film. Malvika Nair explored her vulnerable side in the film and exceled at it. The surprise package is Mohankrishna Indraganti whom I launched as a singer in PAPA.”

PAPA celebrates the magic of love and audience shall experience a real and raw love story like never before. PAPA is produced by T. G. Vishwa Prasad, Padmaja Dasari, People Media Factory in association with Dasari creations. It’s co-produced by Vivek Kuchibotla. The film is gearing up for a big release on March 17 as Ugadi special.
The cast of PAPA includes Naga Shaurya, Malvika Nair, Srinivas Avasarala, Megha Chowdhury, Ashok Kumar, Abhishek Maharshi, Sri Vidya, Varanasi Soumya Chalamcharla, Harini Rao, Arjun Prasad, and others. Srinivas Avasarala penned the story, screenplay, dialogues, and directed the film. The movie is shot beautifully by Sunil Kumar Nama, who is the DOP. Music is composed by Kalyani Malik and Vivek Sagar did one song (Kafeefi). Kiran Ganti edited the film and Azmat Ansari (UK), John Murphy (UK), and Ramakrishna are the art directors. Sujith Kumar Kolli is the film’s Executive producer and Sunil Shah, Raja Subramanian supported the project as Associate producers. Lyrics for the film are by Bhaskarabhatla, Lakshmi Bhupala, Kittu Vissapragada. The dances are choreographed by Raghu, Yash, Riyaz, Chau, and Gule.
