Hyderabad, 29 aug 2026: Popular Hyderabadi actor and comedian Dheer Charan Srivastav, best known as Ismail Bhai from The Angrez, was honoured with the Influential Leader Award – Entertainment at the Goalfest Conclave 2026, organised by Herald Global and presented by BARC.
The award, presented at Grand Kakatiya, Hyderabad, recognises his contribution to entertainment and his role in taking Hyderabadi humour and Deccani culture to audiences across India and beyond.
Speaking on the occasion, Srivastav said:
“Hyderabad is my jaan. This city gave me Ismail Bhai, and Ismail Bhai gave me the world. I am deeply grateful for this honour.”
With his distinctive Hyderabadi style and comic timing, Dheer Charan Srivastav continues to be one of the memorable faces of Hyderabadi cinema.
