Yadadri Bhuvanagiri : Yadadri Bhuvanagiri District Mahila Congress is taking steps to win the local body elections. A meeting of Mahila Congress leaders was held at the Bhuvanagiri MLA Camp Office on Monday under the chairmanship of Yadadri Bhuvanagiri District Congress President Neelam Padma. Speaking at the meeting held on this occasion, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri District President Neelam Padma said that as per the instructions of Telangana State Mahila Congress President Sunita Rao, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district level and mandal .. village block .. booth committees should be formed. A full-fledged working committee should be formed. The government led by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy should explain the welfare schemes being implemented by the state government to every woman. He advised the Mahila Congress leaders to proudly publicize the fact that the government is providing more than ten lakh new ration cards and is filling the stomachs of the poor with rice. He asked the Congress party candidates to work hard towards victory in the local body elections. Similarly, women, who constitute half of the population, are politically very backward. Everyone should fight for 30% women members in the Legislative Assembly and Parliament, just as there are 50% women representatives in local bodies. 50% of the nominated posts in the district should be reserved for women. He promised to identify the women leaders who worked hard in the Mahila Congress and give them tickets in the local body elections.
