The Ardhanariswaram National Dance Festival being held at Rabindra Bharathi under the auspices of Telangana Sangeet Natak Academy is getting a great response. Shiva Parvati’s Ananda Thandavam Spirituality is enhancing the sense of divinity. Mumbai artistes Sri Pavitra Bhatt and Smt Aparna Shastri performed a duet performance on the second day of the dance festival on Tuesday. Adisankaracharya Ardhanarishwara Stotram, Nataraja Swami Kunchita Padam was impressively presented. The spiritual journey of Lord Shiva and the glory of cosmic dance were performed by Mumbai artistes and mesmerized. After that, Bangalore Bharatanatyam artist Dr. Vasanth Kiran entertained the audience. Gopalakrishna Bharathi’s vocal composition was sung by Mr Vasanth Kiran himself and Tamil historian Nandanar Nataraja merged with Swamy and a wonderful performance as Nayanar and received applause. The way in which Chidambaram Sabhapathi walked through the fire pit and merged into Nataraja Swami and liberated his soul was impressive. Finally, Hyderabad’s sensational Bharatanatyam artiste Smt Vaishnavi Sainadh with her troupe captivated the audience. Invoking Shiva, the perfect primordial teacher of cosmic rhythm and Akshyas through dance, the performance was electrifying throughout. Complete footwork, highly complex mathematical patterns, performed with great rhythmic power, Bharata Natyam is amazing. Speaking of equality and universal harmony, the wordplay to the beautiful rhythmic music was remarkable. Smt Vaishnavi Sainath turned the beauty of the universe into Parvati Devi and presented the solo dance piece with exquisite grace, as well as Sandhya Samaya Tandavam and Uma Maheswara’s thrilling Tandavam scenes mesmerized the minds.
