At the grand launch event of the song “Aura of Ustaad”, the team shared heartfelt and powerful insights about the track and the film.
Director Harish Shankar said:
“I don’t know at what auspicious moment we titled this song ‘Aura of Ustaad,’ but I can see that aura in every single person present here. The dialogue ‘If I touch my neck, it’s as impactful as striking my thigh’ appears in a key scene in the film. For over two decades, Pawan Kalyan garu has carried this unique mannerism. I felt it deserved to be expressed in words — that thought gave birth to this line. We used it as the hook and shaped it into a powerful song.
For such an aura, we needed an Oscar-worthy pen. We immediately approached Chandrabose garu, and remarkably, the song was completed within just eight hours.
This is not a song written out of mere admiration for Pawan Kalyan garu — it is written out of deep understanding. Every line reminds you of him. The line ‘You are not a tender sprout born in soft soil… you are a stubborn plant that breaks through solid rock’ is my personal favorite. Devi Sri Prasad garu infused life into this composition. If Devi garu performed a musical coronation, Chandrabose garu performed a literary anointment.
The film contains everything fans expect from Pawan Kalyan garu. There were days when he worked 18 hours straight for this project. Our producers stood by us, offering more than what we asked for and supporting us in every possible way.”
Music composer Devi Sri Prasad shared:
“What I admire most about Pawan Kalyan garu is the way he respects and remembers people. If he likes someone once, he remembers them for life. When I was learning mandolin as a child, he noticed me — and he still remembers it. That speaks volumes about his greatness.
After listening to this song, he personally called and appreciated me. ‘Aura of Ustaad’ is truly the ‘Aura of Pawan Kalyan.’ This song will remain timeless. The credit goes primarily to Harish Shankar garu for conceptualizing Pawan Kalyan garu’s mannerism so brilliantly in words. Chandrabose garu’s lyrics are extraordinary. The production house has immense passion for cinema. Ustaad Bhagat Singh has shaped up wonderfully.”
