VNR Films is producing a biopic titled Apara Annapurna Dokka Seethamma, and regular shooting is set to begin soon. Currently, the casting and technical crew selection is underway. The film is being produced by A.R.B. and directed by Achhartha Rajubabu.
VNR Films has stated that they own the official rights to the title Apara Annapurna Dokka Seethamma, which has been registered with the Film Chamber. However, another film titled Andhrula Annapurna Dokka Seethamma is being produced under the banner of Usha Rani Movies, with Valluri Rambabu as the producer and Ravi Narayan as the director — allegedly without proper title registration.
VNR Films responded to the issue, stating “We have registered the title Apara Annapurna Dokka Seethamma with the Film Chamber. Despite this, a film titled Andhrula Annapurna Dokka Seethamma is being made by Usha Rani Movies. In fact, director Ravi Narayan had approached us last year requesting the title, but we made it clear that we are already producing a film under this title and could not grant it. Still, without our permission, they have proceeded with their film using a similar title. If any other filmmaker proceeds with a film using our registered title, we will take strict legal and criminal action. We are initiating legal steps against Usha Rani Movies.
