Telangana Film Chamber of Commerce Chairman Dr. Prathani Ramakrishna Goud is producing and directing the film “Mahila Kabaddi” under his RK Films banner. The movie features Indian Women’s Kabaddi Team Vice-Captain Pooja Narwal, Indian Kabaddi Team Coach Srinivas Reddy, hero Suman, Aksa Khan, Tulasi, along with seven real kabaddi players in key roles.
The film details were shared at a press meet held today in Hyderabad. The event was attended by the movie team along with Pooja Narwal, Coach Srinivas Reddy, hero Suman, Aksa Khan, Tulasi, and director-producer Dr. RK Goud.
Coach Srinivas Reddy Speaking
Coach Srinivas Reddy said that Pooja Narwal is a Gold Medalist in the Women’s Kabaddi World Cup. He mentioned that he is currently serving as a coach for the Indian team and has also worked as a coach in the Pro Kabaddi League. He added that the Women’s Pro Kabaddi League will be launching soon.
He said that RK Goud approached him for the film “Mahila Kabaddi,” and both of them are acting in the movie. He shared his knowledge of kabaddi with the team. Since this is a women’s kabaddi film, they felt it would be good to involve Pooja Narwal in the project. He added that after cricket, kabaddi enjoys great popularity in India, and just like women’s cricket, women’s kabaddi players are also showcasing outstanding talent.

Pooja Narwal said that she has been passionate about kabaddi since childhood. After winning medals at district and state levels, she grew into a national and international player.
She said women’s kabaddi has a bright future, and the upcoming Women’s Pro Kabaddi League will create more opportunities. She expressed happiness about acting in “Mahila Kabaddi” and appreciated RK Goud for making such a film at the right time.

Director-producer Dr. Prathani Ramakrishna Goud said that he was also a kabaddi player in his earlier days and had won championships representing his team. He reached district-level competitions as a player.
He said that kabaddi has gained immense popularity in India after cricket, and Indian teams have won championships in the last two years. He expressed happiness that many talented players like Pooja Narwal are excelling in women’s kabaddi.
He said he approached them for the film, and through Coach Srinivas Reddy, contacted Pooja Narwal. He was happy that both of them agreed to act in the film and attend the press meet.
The story revolves around a poor village girl who rises to national and international fame in kabaddi, overcoming many struggles. Real kabaddi players will act in the film, and Srinivas Reddy will appear as a coach.
The film will be made in Telugu and Hindi. Along with Aksa Khan, another hero and heroine have been selected. Suman, Amani, and Indraja are also part of the cast.
Script work has been completed, and songs have been recorded. Mangli and Madhu Priya have sung the songs. He said the script and songs have turned out very well, and the film will soon go on floors.

Suman said this is a good sports-based Telugu film. He is playing the role of a father who supports and trains his daughter to become a top-level kabaddi player. He said RK Goud has given him a strong character.
The film will show how a poor village girl works hard and makes the nation proud through kabaddi. He added that the film is being made strictly following real kabaddi rules and wished it great success at the Pan-India level.

Aksa Khan said she is happy to be part of “Mahila Kabaddi.” She plays a kabaddi player in the film and hopes it will bring her good recognition as an actress.
She said she is acting alongside Suman, senior actors, and real kabaddi players. The film will inspire girls who aspire to become kabaddi players.
Kabaddi Player Radhika Reddy Speaking
Radhika Reddy said she won a gold medal for united Andhra Pradesh in the 1997 National Games, and that was the only gold medal achieved so far.
She expressed hope that the film will inspire girls from grassroots levels to rise in kabaddi. She also wished success for the upcoming Women’s Pro Kabaddi League.
Actress Tulasi Speaking
Tulasi said she is playing a good role in “Mahila Kabaddi” and thanked RK Goud for giving her the opportunity.
