The newly elected Board of Directors and Executive Committee members of the Film Critics Association met with renowned producer Chadalavada Srinivasa Rao. They met and expressed their sincere gratitude to Chadalavada Srinivasa Rao, who paved the way for the revival of the Film Critics Association.
Speaking at this intimate meeting, Prabhu, Honorary President of the Film Critics Association, said, “Srinivasa Rao’s announcement has revived the association, which has been dormant for some time. Some people have crores of rupees in their pockets, but they are poor in their hearts. Srinivasa Rao has crores in his pocket, but Goddess Lakshmi is in his heart. He has generosity that can benefit ten people. Kubera has blessed so many Kuchelu. We have a decades-long association as film journalists. There is a healthy atmosphere among Telugu film journalists. We do not encourage gossip. We do not publish controversies. We do not expose irregularities in the industry.
We will not ignore bad films. Chadalavada Tirupati Rao’s family treats film critics like family members. There is a sweetness in the affection and respect they show towards us that is beyond words.. It is because of Chadalavada Srinivasa Rao that we have all been able to unite. He has brought light to all of our eyes. He expressed his heartfelt gratitude to them.
President Battula JV Prasad Rao said that it is part of my daily routine to pay homage to Srinivasa Rao Garu every day. I have been away from the film industry and journalism for some time. If I meet Srinivasa Rao Garu, he said, “Come to Hyderabad and stay here.” If I want, he will provide me with all the facilities. But I like to live in nature, that is why he built me a small cottage. He treats our film journalists like his own children. Whoever comes, he says, “This is all Prasad’s.” I bow my head in homage to his admiration, he said.
Speaking, General Secretary Suresh Kondeti said that words are not enough to describe the generosity of Srinivasa Rao. The great work he is doing will go down in history. Not everyone who has money is charitable. Those who are charitable do not have money. It is very rare for one person to have both. He said that all the family members of the Film Critics Association members are indebted to such a rare good man Srinivasa Rao.
Mohan Goteti, senior member of the Film Critics Association, said:
In the eyes of Srinivasa Rao Brothers, film journalists are very popular. One day I went to Pullareddy Sweets in Begumpet for sweets. Two brothers and sisters came there. Seeing me, they asked Mohan what he was doing here. When I said, “Sir, I came for sweets,” Tirupati Rao garu said, “We know Pullareddy very well.” He went inside and brought four to five kilograms of sweets and placed them in my hands. He also came to our house to bless us. He said, “I bow down to their kindness.”
Another senior member Bali Reddy said… It is said that God is in human form. The definition that goes with this sentence is Srinivasa Rao. The great work he is doing will go down in history not only in the Telugu film industry but also in the South Indian film industry. With this single work, Srinivasa Rao has joined the level of NTR and ANR, who are very much loved in the Telugu industry. We should use the good work they are doing to spread it around the country, he said.
Vice President E Janardhan Reddy said that the film critics family will be indebted to Srinivasa Rao for his good work and expressed his heartfelt gratitude to him.
Srinivasa Rao, who was the reason for this program, said that friends and sons are film journalists. My relatives, soulmates, and film journalists are film journalists. I have a great admiration for films. Film journalists are like sculptors. They carve stone like a sculpture. Everyone admires that sculpture. Likewise, it is your writings that give a permanent place in the hearts of people to heroes, directors, and producers who come to the film industry as ordinary people! That is why I have a special admiration for you. Just as a scientist or a doctor is useful to society, film journalists are also very useful to society. With love for cinema, when we made our first film Laila in the 80s, when I went to Chennai from Tenali for the production of that film, Kondapaneni Umamaheswara Rao and Mikkilineni Jagadish Babu were the first to receive me. From that day on, they have been my close relatives. In those days, Leo Anand bought the audio rights of a top hero film for one lakh rupees. My film Laila was written by Atreya Narayana Reddy. MS Vishwanath music. Leo Anand listened to our film songs and offered 99 thousand for the audio rights. Uma and Jagadish Babu called Leo Anand to our office and said that you gave one lakh rupees for the Top Hero film. Since the songs of this film are even better, they said that you should give one lakh thousand rupees. I have done films with Nageswara Rao and Shobhan Babu. Film journalists have shown their affection for us like their own brothers and sisters in the production of every film. I have never asked them to write like this. They have promoted every film I have made as if it were their own film. I consider you all as my own children. When I bought this place away from the village, I thought that I should also give a share to my family’s journalist friends, but since this place is far from the village, they asked me to give money according to the market price. I gave it. I could not build a house for you, they did not use it…. I have a small guilty feeling somewhere in my mind that I did not use it. 20 years have passed like that. I fell under various work pressures. Every day, when Rita Prasad appeared in the morning, she would ask about the welfare of our family. One day, she wanted to have lunch with all of you, would you all come? She called you and said, “If you ask, will you all come?” My elder brother also came to that meeting. I did not give anything. With the affection you show for me, God made me say that I will build you towers. Whether it is worth a hundred crores or three hundred crores, if I promise once, I will do what I say. Once I say a word, even if the sun beats down, I will not break my word. I will build it at a cost of 10 percent more than what I said. We have been a joint family for seven generations. When we make a promise, it means that all the family members, whether it is the elder brother or the children, we will all be committed. I started life as a normal person and I did not think that God would give me so much. I am giving some of it to see the joy in your eyes. Film workers are also like you. When the Chitrapuri Colony land came up for auction, my family members brought Prasanna Kumar and director Ajay Kumar Anil to me. At that time, I was not that well-off. However, I promised them a good job. God also gave me strength. I paid the bank as promised to bring light to 4500 families. God gave me the opportunity to do good like this. That day, Chitrapuri Colony was worth 20 crores per acre, today it is 200 crores. I am very happy. My family members are happy to see the good deeds I do. Some good deeds cannot be bought with money, and attachment is also beyond money. You are all like my own children, I will do more for you than I said I would do.
Another senior film journalist, Giridhar, said that Chadalavada Srinivasa Rao was only a god to me until now. With this good work, he has become a god to all of us.
