So much so that they cried while watching the movie… After the movie ended, they were so connected that they sat in those seats in agony until the theater staff came and said that the movie was over. The movie made by Yash Raj Films with a budget of 40 crores is breaking box office records. The Bollywood movie ‘Saiyaara’.has created a record by being in the top 7 of the top 45 multilingual movies worldwide. Directed by Mohit Suri, who naturally portrays love stories and gives a kick to lovers, ‘Saiyaara’ was released on July 18. It is creating a sensation as a super duper hit.
Naturally, our Telugu films do not have promotional events like audio, video release, pre-release like some Bollywood films. They become silent hits. Moreover, both of them are newcomers in this film.. Hero Ahan Pandey.. Ananya Pandey’s younger brother. This is his debut film as a hero. Heroine Aneeth Padda. This is also her debut. Both of them have settled into their respective roles and lived naturally. Acting is nowhere to be seen. They look like real life. They feel like our lives. It is as much a joy to go and watch a great movie without any expectations. That is why there is talk that those who have seen it watch it again and again.
It feels a bit like a copy of the Korean movie Moment to Remember, released in 2024. It reminds me of the romantic web series on Netflix. I may have remembered it because I have seen them. But, Mohit Suri has combined both of them and presented a musical love story that is beyond that. Hero Krish Kapoor is a good stage singer. Heroine Vani Batra is a reporter working on a website. She is a breakup lover. A poet who writes about her love in a diary. When Mahesh tells her that he is getting married and goes to the registrar’s office, she goes into depression. Krish falls in love with Vani, who comes to interview him on a music show. He turns the poems she writes into songs and sings them. They become incredible lovers. Unexpectedly, Vani gets Alzheimer’s disease and forgets everything. Knowing that he is putting his singing career aside for her, she runs away without telling him. The song ‘Saiyaara’, which she wrote in search of her, is heard in every village and finally the two are reunited after discovering that he is in an ashram in Manila. This is the movie!
Mohit Suri’s story is amazing with many twists and turns. Aneet Padda brought the role of Confusion Confidence Innocent Vani Batra to life and made us cry. Ahan Pandey excelled in the role of immortal lover Krish and impressed us. Although many other notable characters were played, we see only these two throughout.
The music is superb. The 7 songs are haunting and make you want to listen to them again and again. The BGM score given by John Stewart Eduri has given life to this film. Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal have given super hits. The fact that Mithun, Tanishka Bagchi, Sachet Parampara, Vishal Mishra, Faheem Abdullah and Arslan Nizami have given each song and composed it has impressed us as if it has given something new and different from the routine. Mohit Suri has succeeded in instilling deep emotions and a kick of love. A must-watch movie is ”Saiyaara”!
